limewire sitesWhat are some free music downloading sites besides limewire?

My college won't allow us to have limewire on our computers... bummer. Does anyone else know some other free song sites that are absolutly free?
It is illegal to download copyrighted material (including music) without permission of the copyright holder. There are legal sites where you can download music but no legal site offers "free downloads" for most popular/well known music.
These sites sell music from most of the major labels legally and most of these downloads are MP3 files. (as opposed to WMA files which have DRM and are a pain in the a## to work with.)









There are streaming music sites where you can listen to the radio (usually ad supported)

These sites offer streaming music for free.








SpiralFrog is free, legal and legitimate, the songs are licensed directly from Universal, EMI, etc. However you must fill out surveys to renew the licenses monthly and the songs are protected with DRM and you won't be able to burn them to CD, Copy them to an MP3 player etc. And they are only available as WMA files not MP3.


These sites have freely and legally downloadable music. You may not know any of the artists but all of them fealimewire sitesture music that is legally available for free and a lot of it is quite good.

Simple, quick, and safe; I’ve used it a million times and have never got a virus, pop-up or anything like that! YourQtip is significantly better than P2P programs such as Limewire because it is actually safe, and cannot harm your computer in any way.

If you use firefox you can use the downloadhelper addon to download youtube videos. Then you can use dBpoweramp converter to convert the videos into mp3's.

(it's a free site where u can store ur music online u can also download free music too. it has a software where it checks each and every file to make sure it has no virus. It's a very safe site, I've been using it for months.)

if u don't like that site, i would suggest http://www.aimini.net/ and http://www.esnips.com/ those are safe sites too.

and if you want new updated leaked music everyday i would go to http://www.mplimewire sites3face.com for new music
ruckus was great! all you had to use was an email that ended with .edu but it got shut down :(

he puts music up for you to download before they get on itunes pretty much. It's amazing.
Um.. uTorrent? I get my torrents from Demonoid. o_o
But they don't have non-mainstream kind of music, so you'd be stuck there...

Too bad File2HD.com stopped working, or I'd suggest it.
Try Spotify. It's free but actually legal so the artists get some cash out of it (plus you don't run any risk of viruses).
Check google, what the hell is wrong with you? On google just write jot down " top 10 best downloading music sites" and the best ones will pop up, easy as that voila!
i like songbird. its similar to limewire, free, and definitley less viruses!
