I love Rap music, like when ever im feeling depressed i listen to hiphop. I know the real Hip-Hop and i started writing rhymes since i was 15, now im 17. I really want to become a rapper, i know its going to take a lot of dedication and work ethic but i want to know what you guys think. Seeing that I'm not black or White, I am west indian brown but i mainly hang out with a lot of black people, and we usually do cyphers. They usually say Im dope, i honestly really want to make it. When ever im pissed off, i write rhymes to keep me from getting depressed. I listen to rappers such as: Eminem, Nas, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Wu Tang Clan, KRS ONE, Rakim, RUN DMC, Biggie Smalls, Tupac and many more. I wrote this, a lot of my friend say it was pretty good, tell me what you think

it's like a therapy for me, from assaults and beatings

I want to make it, this is my only hope. I messed up in school so much, i want to atleast show my skills and make my family happy in a different way. Do i have any hope?
I do have a backup plan, I'm staying back a year from highschool to improve my marks and go to university to become a computer technician, but i love Rap and i feel like I improve everyday

Tell me if my lyrics are good for my age, and should i freestyle to improve my flow and vocab.
I really suck at freestyling, like i say random stuff and get mixed up... whats some tips for me to be better

This is real good stuff. I have two friends in real life that teamed together and put their raps on youtube, now they even have a publisher for some budget CDs. They're really climbing their way up, so with words like this, I don't see why you can't too.
They spent plenty of time in their lyrics. Making stuff up on the spot is a gift, almost no one has it so don't try. Rappers like Mike Shinoda (Fort Minor) think about their lyrics and they're almost as popular as the names that you've listed.
I say you put something on youtube and work from their. I for one would listen/like/fav/subscribe.

Sounds like you have a good concept of a song and you are ready to lay down a song in the future.. Keep doing your thing and make catchy hooks... Cause thats a good way to attract the listeners... There is a lot of trash being played and they are gettin paid... but live up to your dreams because Only you know your limits and how far they may seem.. Don't let no one hold you back... Ask for perfect direction to where you may gain more knowledge
rap is partly about the lyrics. but mainly about the delivery. you have the lyrics. now make a youtube page and record some music (using garageband or something). and you are SET! :)
