I mean really. what is the purpose of a little bit of hair above the eye that looks so bad on some people and good on others ? .... I shaved mine off, LOL~!!!!

As it says in the below link, scientists potulate that they help keep sweat out of the eyes. It wouldn't be good to be running from a saber toothed tiger and have your vision go blurry ;-)
In modern society, they serve a communicative purpose, much like the tail of a cat.
To keep dirt and sweat from entering your eye . It would look really weird if you didn't have eyebrows.
