I'd recommend Wordpress because it's an easy CMS that's doing a lot for you.
There exist a lot of great tutorials how to create your own wordpress theme.

In my opinion www.YouTube.com because its normal people showing you not professionals so they don't use technical jargon that you might not underwebsite design tutorialstand.
There is a site to help you build a website. There isn't a tutorial but it does explain a lot and has a lot of links to help.
